I have failed to report the dollhouse. This humongous thing consummed Daddy for the majority of his nights during last month, as the design took a life of its own, and we ended up having to call friends to help us bring it inside the house on Christmas eve. I am glad is inside...now if we could only squeeze it into the girls' playroom I would be completely happy. For now it stays in the living room, such a piece of conversation!
Now I think you get the idea...the parents spend a very silly amount of time, every night, playing with the dollhouse. The girls love it of course, but they seem to be very interested into piling all the furniture in one corner and getting inside themselves...so it is our duty, we the parents, to make sure that all the little items go back to their rightful place, every night. I can't honestly decide which of us plays more with it. It is so much fun!

felicidades!!!
Wow, that is definitely on of the most wonderful dollhouses I have ever seen! I will have to show my husband, he and our girls are often conspiring over dollhouse making plans.
I have enjoyed catching up on some of your winter posts, a lovely holiday you created for your family!
Oh, It is just soooooo delightful!
I am obsessed with dollhouses. This is the best thing I've ever seen!!!!! I love how you've outfitted it- the cat bed, the sewn beds, the washers on the stove. How I wish I could work better with wood....I am in love with this project of yours!!
What an inspiring piece of art...well done both of you for creating something so wonderful for your children.

WOW!!!
That is one super cool doll house!Your husband did an amazing job! :0)
I'm not surprised that everyone plays with it. I would!
You are such creative and talented parents! WOW!
Fabiola this is amazing!!! I can see why you have a difficult time not playing with it. What an incredible labor of love. I wanted to ask, do you translate the parenting passageway into spanish? I really enjoy Carrie's blog - it challenges me and requires me to reflect more than anything I have read in a while. If you are the one translating...what a wonderful gift to the world.
Thanks everybody! Daddy had much fun creating it and we are very excited to add little details every season, I am already seeing in the future a seasonal decorating project for the dollhouse!
Lauren: yes, I do translate Carrie's articles every now and then. I have so many in draft that is a bit painful but will get to it in due time ;-)
La verdad que me encanta esta casita de muñecas! Se ve que fue hecha con mucho amor y trabajo. Mi esposo y yo somos arquitectos y también queremos diseñar y hacer una casita aunque mas pequeña para nuestro hijo. Y me encanta tu blog bilingue! Bellas fotos. Es el unico blog inspirado por Waldorf que he encontrado que tiene español. Te encontré por The Parenting Passageway.
What a gorgeous doll house, too! I am loving the return to childhood of my imagination as I raise my own children. What a sweet blog you have. I am a huge admiring fan of your beautiful dolls. Thank you for so much inspiration.
