I am back

I feel like I was away for what seemed to me an eternity...and I feel I just came out of some sort of weird dream. Finishing these last dolls was a bit of a stretch but I am now out of the big bend. Off to sparkles and glitter and peaceful meals...again.

Despues de trabajar 'ora si que como negra para terminar las munecas de las navidades, siento como que he vuelto a la vida...pero oh, por Dios! que es la pura verdad! La casa aun tiene una que otra munequita esperando por aqui, pero encarecidamente estas mujeres no son compras sino mas bien regalitos de intercambio con una que otra mama.

I enjoyed immensely working during the mornings on the dolls. I usually only work at night, and like two hours at the most, but losing almost three weeks by being sick and having to take that trip to Toronto made me go a bit overboard. So I enlisted the help of the husband and the grandma. And we made it happen. All the dolls have left the building!

 El disque cuarto de costura sigue sin pintura...no hemos puesto arbolito...los adornos estan a medias...y la casa un tanto en desarreglo...un tanto (dije yo)...asi que habra que ponerse las pilas de inmediato para solventar estas 'calamidades" como les dice mi madre, y poner el canton a todo lo que da. Estoy muy emocionada de terminar toda la bola de regalos que quiero hacerles a mis gentes...de decorar la casa y de pasarmelo bien chido estas tres semanas que vienen.

 There are a lot of little presents to be made, decorations to create, organizing to do, a few tidbits of exchange have to be mailed out, and much merry laughter to hear around this house. We came back from a short trip with armloads of craft supplies, glue, yarn, wood, glitter (of course), ribbons, beeswax and what not. I hope to use it all up before the New Year rings on our door. So excited!

Now that I am starting to mastermind the presents, I will take you on a bit of a journey of our handmade holidays. I hope you have a chance to come and check it out. It's gonna be good ;-)
